Admissions: FAQs

Frequently asked questions, especially for the Class of 2025:

Will we be able to visit Notre Dame in the fall?

That’s a really good question!  Our in-person Open House is planned for Sunday, October 25 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. This year, because of limited space, and to ensure safe social distancing, our Open House will be for 8th grade students only. Registration is required. You may register starting on September 8th through our Admissions page by Clicking Here. We look forward to welcoming you Chez Nous at Open House.

Will it be possible to have a buddy day or shadow day at Notre Dame this fall?

We realize that shadowing a Notre Dame student for a day can be one of the most important experiences you can have in helping you make a decision about high school.  For the first semester, however, in order to consider the health and safety of all students first, unfortunately, we will not be able to welcome visitors to spend the day.  You can, however, have a virtual buddy day by Clicking Here!

Has the application process changed in any way this year?

Actually, no! We have tried to keep the process nearly the same as it has always been, and we fully understand that in the last part of 7th grade students were distance learning.  Simply click on APPLY TO NOTRE DAME to get all the details for both New York applicants and for New Jersey applicants.  For students who plan to take the TACHS exam in New York, be sure to visit their website,, for registration and testing updates.

How can I find out more about the course offerings, sports and clubs?

It’s easy! Once again, we invite you to take a deep dive into our website and also take a look at our Fact Sheet and Admissions Brochure.
