Admissions: FAQs

Frequently asked questions, especially for the Class of 2025:

Will we be able to visit Notre Dame in the fall?

That’s a really good question!  Currently, our Open House is planned for Sunday, October 25, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.  In the best of all worlds, we hope to be able to welcome you inside of our campus on that day, albeit on a limited basis.  Please check back on our website through the fall for updates concerning our Open House plans. We also invite you to fill out our Admissions Inquiry Form for news about Notre Dame Admissions as it becomes available.

Will it be possible to have a buddy day or shadow day at Notre Dame this fall?

We realize that shadowing a Notre Dame student for a day can be one of the most important experiences you can have in helping you make a decision about high school.  For now, however, in order to consider the health and safety of all students first, unfortunately, it looks like we will not be able to welcome visitors to spend the day.  We are working on creative ways of giving you the Chez Nous experience virtually.  We invite you to get to know our school through our awesome website and by watching one of our recent videos, Notre Dame Experiences

Has the application process changed in any way this year?

Actually, no! We have tried to keep the process nearly the same as it has always been, and we fully understand that in the last part of 7th grade students were distance learning.  Simply click on APPLY TO NOTRE DAME to get all the details for both New York applicants and for New Jersey applicants.  For students who plan to take the TACHS exam in New York, be sure to visit their website, tachsinfo.com, for registration and testing updates.

How can I find out more about the course offerings, sports and clubs?

It’s easy! Once again, we invite you to take a deep dive into our website and also take a look at our Fact Sheet and Admissions Brochure.
