A major grant from The Carson Family Charitable Trust entirely funded the building of a state-of-the-art science center in Notre Dame School. The science center has facilities for hands-on experimentation in biology, chemistry, and physics, along with Internet access in the laboratory setting.
The design of the Center also includes the latest safety equipment and a prep room with storage cabinets and large work areas. The lab is equipped with water, electricity, and gas as well as fume hoods, showers, and eyewashes for safety. Two high-powered professional oil immersion microscopes for detailed microscopy studies were recently donated to the science center.
