Apply To Notre Dame

New York Students:

Admission to Notre Dame is based on performance on the TACHS (Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools) and on the basis of prior school records.

The TACHS will be administered in the Archdiocese of New York on Friday, November 4, 2022, and for the Diocese of Brooklyn/Queens and the Diocese of Rockville Centre (Long Island) on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

The TACHS will once again be administered online this year!

Registration for the TACHS should be completed online through the TACHS website –

  • TACHS registration runs from August 22 – October 27, 2022
  • Notre Dame’s TACHS code is 209

Students may list Notre Dame as their first, second or third choice on the TACHS for admissions purposes. Due to the high caliber of applicants, scholarship consideration is given to students who list Notre Dame as first or second choice. For students taking the TACHS, there is no separate application form required.

Transcripts/Applicant Record

For students attending a Catholic elementary in the Archdiocese of New York or the Diocese of Brooklyn, your Applicant Record will automatically be sent to Notre Dame.

They can complete this form with your grades from middle school and mail it to Notre Dame. This year, the due date is December 14, 2022.
