As the Director of Admissions for Notre Dame School of Manhattan, I wanted to formally introduce myself as we all begin a new school year together. After several years of hard work and dedication during your middle school years, I can honestly say that I am truly excited to introduce ND to you!
I have had the privilege to witness firsthand the positive attributes of the Chez Nous sisterhood, and I’d like to take this opportunity to share with you a few “sound bites” from our Notre Dame community:
“Every day, the girls here are empowered…we see them as very open, very optimistic, but they are also very eager to influence change in our world.”
“At Notre Dame, leadership is assumed and expected…our students want to be leaders among their peers.”
“Our diversity sets us apart – we celebrate our differences while also making sure every member of our community feels seen and included. It is something that has always been part of our school’s mission.”
“We want to give our students a profound sense that they are loved. Each individual person is unconditionally loved by God.”
“I learn more from my students than they learn from me…They are so strong, smart, determined, and uncompromising in what they want from this world.”
As illustrative as these quotes are, there is nothing like experiencing Chez Nous in person. I look forward to the day when I can meet you and your family, whether it is in your middle school classroom for a school visit this fall or at the Notre Dame Open House on Sunday, October 27th.
Best Always,
Jacqueline Aleandre
